Equipment always seem to breakdown on the weekend. Woke up Saturday morning to the sound of one of my AC units squealing like crazy. Upon inspection, compressor was smoking! Fire danger. Disconnected the power and thought “who to call for weekend service”? II remembered my father using Arizona Refrigeration Service, the trucks with the AZ Flag logo, from back in the day. I called, talked to Ed, who without hesitation, had Dale on site by 11 AM. Wow. $79 bucks (didn't charge me) for service call middle of the summer. Dale’s knowledgeable inspection was old school no BS no overselling, just a here’s what we’re dealing with. Compressor quick fix, the cost to change a compressor several thousand $$. Dale pointed out the rest of the old components of these systems may not last much longer. In the attic, Dale evaluated the AC & Natural Gas heater units, previously installed and “mismatched”. So we worked up a price to replace both units. We agreed on an all inclusive deal. ARS has the ‘right” contract, straight-up, get the job done and easy to understand. So I signed it. NOTE: Last minute busy season install, Tuesday was the soonest for the bad unit and Friday for the second working unit. Do to personal reasons, I asked Dale if there was any way they could accomplish one on Tuesday & on on Wednesday?Dale called me back and they worked it out! We were so very grateful! No extra charges and no hidden costs! Each unit takes a full day to accomplish. AC systems are complex removal and installations. On Tuesday, Dale, Santos and Tony arrived promptly. They protected our painted garage floor and laundry room appliances during the removal & installation of the very sizeable AC/Heating equipment. The crew working in an attic in the summertime, is insane and incredible at the same time. This crew rarely spent any time on their cell phones, concentrating on the work at hand. Now that’s rare! Everything they replaced and installed was of high quality items. By the end of Wednesday we were enjoying the clean cold fresh air. A couple of days later, I called Dale asking for his advice on upgrading the west unit condensate drip line to discharge into the sewer via a self-contained pump system. Dale suggested the Little Giant brand available on Amazon. Dale’s guidance kept my DIY install adhering to code specifications. At my request, Dale stopped by few days later to button up a small detail, then taking the time to look over the condenser pump install. Even hooked it up to a built-in safety switch in-case of a pump discharge backup. This was above and beyond the ARS call of duty. What they really provide is “peace of mind” at a fair price. Now I have a friend in the AC business. It's the "people" that matter not where you buy it. Good luck out there and please consider ARS for your AC needs.
